Chalking:

Chalking for the promotion of S.C.A.M.S. is set to take place outside of the IET building (meeting between Moore and IET, chalking all over campus) at 3:30pm EDT (that's 1930 UTC for you 240 students) this SUNDAY, Sept. 13, 2009. We'd like to see as many people as possible out there so if you have the time on Sunday come and join us in spreading the word about SCAMS.

Severe Weather Conference Information:

As Madam President Katie Dupree discussed at the last meeting, the Severe Weather conference is in Downer's Grove, IL (about 40 minutes from Chicago, 5 hours from Mount Pleasant). It takes place between November 5th through November 7th, 2009. The cost is $110 for student registration and $95 a room (but if you have 4 people per room, well then that's just a measly $24 per person. I know this seems like a lot but these conferences are great experience as well as very informative. The website for the conference is http://sws2009.cod.edu/index.html
